The wine "Riza tou Vounou (In the Root of the Mountain)" comes from selected vineyards in the root of the mountain "Vraxionas" in the semi-mountainous village of Zakynthos, Lagopodo. We follow the classic red vinification, cold extraction in a controlled environment, alcoholic fermentation at rated temperatures. Wine stay for 3 months in its wine lees with periodic stirring. And 12 months of maturation in selected new French oak barrels of "medium" burning.
Organoleptic on the nose are distinguished by aromas of ripe red / black fruit, violet, vanilla, herbal notes and peppery notes, ending with a soft oak feel to complete the aromatic palette. In the mouth, we disguise complexity, balance, well-crafted delicious tannins and long aftertaste.Ready to drink and 7-9 years in front of it to go on time.
It is ideally combined with meat, yellow cheeses, pasta and soups.
